Description

The Frey Auto Vanos intake camshaft gear specifically designed for BMW N13 engine. Unlike simple timing sprockets, this gear is an oil-pressure actuated camshaft phaser that integrates with the engine’s timing chain drive system which is mounted onto the intake camshaft and works in conjunction with oil pressure and the VANOS solenoid system to continuously adjust camshaft timing. This unit allows the intake camshaft to advance or retard dynamically based on engine load, RPM, and throttle demand, improving torque delivery, fuel efficiency, idle stability, and emissions control.

Crafted using durable hardened steel gear housing, a precision-machined internal vane and locking mechanism, and high-strength alloy internal components, designed to withstand constant timing chain loads and hydraulic actuation forces.
